I'm torn about picking up this release myself. It sounds great with new stuff I'd love to see but I have multiple versions of all of these already. I'm facing the same dilemma on the new "A Christmas Story Collector's Editions".

From our Halloween/Horror companion blog Monster Rally...
Lee at Music You (Possibly) Won't Hear Anyplace Else has posted the first sharity of the Halloween season!
Lee says..."...And, now, we have twelve terrific Halloween tracks to get spooked out over (if the stock market horrors of the past two days aren't enough). Half are repeats, and half are new to the blog. A few really odd ones, including Cliff (Delta Rhythm Boys) Holland's Tops label cover of The Thing (which, like many early Tops sides, sounds really bad), the Capitol University Cappette's Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte, and Lalo (Mission: Impossible) Schifrin's The Hautning, a 1963 instrumental inspired by the Robert Wise movie. Download with caution, for the sanity you lose may be your own!! Buwa-ha-haaaa!!"...and, great news, this is only Part 1 !!
Hop on yer broom and let MY(P)WHAE help you get in the Halloween spirit!

Starring: Mac Powell, Aidan Rogers Director: Owen Smith Rated G
A small Georgia town struggles with the rationing and sacrifices of America at war. Christmas is no exception as 11-year-old Gordy (Aidan Rogers) and his sister Priscilla (Emily Jordan) sense a fear in the train station where they await their father's homecoming. Propaganda posters and tense audlt talk drive home the evil of the enemy.
When a train loaded with German prisoners arrives in the station, Gordy's curiosity is stronger than his fear. He dares to approach the prison train and makes contact with a young German soldier named Hans (Silvio Wolf Busch). Through the courage to trust and the song "Silent Night", friends and foes learn the true meaning of Peace on Earth, Goodwill Towards Men, and hearts are forever changed.
Narrated by Mac Powell of THIRD DAY (amazon.com)

That, to me at least, with the exception of the fine Mr. Griffiths, is the bad news about this holiday offering. The very good news is that Paul Williams is back on board with to provide the Muppets Music.
Hopefully I'm wrong but, this cast reminds me of the fairly awful, and far too adult, It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie. We'll see...
