"A Miser Brothers Christmas is a new sequel to the classic 1974 television special The Year Without a Santa Claus. The stop motion animated special, produced by Los Angeles-based Warner Brothers Television Animation and Toronto-based Cuppa Coffee Studios, will premiere as part of ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas annual programming stunt on the Disney-owned cable channel December 13th, 2008. Mickey Rooney reprises his role of Santa Claus, which originally debuted in the 1970 special Santa Claus is Comin' to Town, while George S. Irving revises his role as the Heat Miser."
